MISSION ...

VISION ...

To educate and actively engage a national audience of elementary school students in STEAM+ Environment activities, that ultimately lead to successful careers in space exploration and technology.

HISTORY...

Sharon Hagle founded SpaceKids Global in 2015 with the mission to inspire STEAM+ Education; Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics+ Environment; with a focus on empowering young girls.

In her efforts to help school kids become SpaceKids, Sharon shares her journey to space and engages students through speaking engagements at schools, nonprofit youth organizations, science centers, universities and space organizations. To date, Sharon has reached over 96,534 students globally.

In 2019, Sharon partnered with Girl Scouts of Citrus Council to create Making Space for Girls (MS4G). The goals of the educational outreach activities seek to encourage all girls to consider space industry careers. Moving forward, Making Space for Girls will host annual challenge competitions and programs to continue to inspire girls in grades K – 12 from across the country to engage in space exploration and technology opportunities. The program is open to all girls, and not limited to members of Girl Scouts.

There are 3.5 million STEM jobs that need to be filled by 2025 in the United States.  Studies show that if children aren't exposed to math and science at an age of seven, they'll lose interest. SpaceKids Global is on a mission to ensure every child is ready to enter the space age.
