Facts on the Titanic
Updated: May 23, 2019
Before I start this adventure to the Titanic, I wanted to brush up on facts. The British RMS Titanic sank early morning April 15, 1912 in the North Atlantic Ocean four days into it's maiden voyage from Southampton to New York City. She was the largest ocean liner in service at that time with approximately 2,224 passengers when she struck an iceberg. Her sinking two hours and forty minutes resulted in the deaths of more than 1,500 people, making it one of the deadliest marine disasters during peace time.
